On the north wall of the Great Hall is a mural by Albert Herter portraying Prometheus, aided by Athena, stealing the divine fire from the chariot of Helios, the sun god, to bring humankind the flame of knowledge. The artist followed ancient Greek and Egyptian traditions in identifying the figures.
